Mountain Cambridge School’s Grade 6 and LSL/Grade 8 subject averages in English, Mathematics and Science were above the world subject averages, eight years in a row, an amazing achievement!
We wish to congratulate the learners and their teachers on their excellent external Cambridge International Results. In November 2019, these students wrote a external, internationally recognised examinations; these papers are set up and marked at the University of Cambridge. This is a true international benchmarking.
They received a total of 84 subject distinctions from 47 learners that wrote these papers; during the November 2019 CAIE External exams in these two grades, an average of 1,79 distinctions per learner. The Grade 6 learners delivered 34 subject distinctions and the LSL/grade 8 learners delivering 50 subject distinctions.
We are certainly proud of the academic stars, but it is important that we reflect on each learner’s achievement. They all embraced the classroom and its demands and, together with their teachers, they nurtured and extended their individual abilities. Well done!
Our AS class of 2019 did exceptionally well!
We received 10 AS & A subject distinctions, an average of 0,83 distinctions per candidate, with 12 candidates enrolled for the AS exams. As a school, we are extremely proud of our 100% pass rate.
