WELCOME FROM OUR PRIMARY SCHOOL HEADMASTER
“Tell me and I forget, teach me and I may remember, involve me and I learn.” ― Benjamin Franklin
The vision of Mountain Cambridge School is to be a top academic school. The Foundation Phase plays a vital role in achieving this. In Foundation Phase we believe that the journey is just as important as the destination. Our focus is on learning and as a result performance will follow.
In the Foundation Phase our main goal is to teach learners reading, writing, arithmetic and reasoning. At Mountain Cambridge School learning is a joyful activity which encourages lifelong learning.
We offer a learning-rich environment equipped with multi-sensory materials where knowledge is experienced as well as taught. Curiosity is encouraged and the love of learning is nurtured.
The curriculum is structured to enhance natural development and talents as well as supporting the development of each student. Learning activities are engaging and support independence and resilience.
In the Foundation Phase we strive is to develop well-balanced learners who participate in sport and cultural activities.
We have a Christian ethos that guides the learners’ behaviour by the values of hard work, honesty, respect, discipline, trust and enthusiasm.
We embrace a growth mindset where learners are allowed to make mistakes and learn from them. We want to equip our learners to be ‘Real World Ready’ by cultivating perseverance, independence and resilience.
The Foundation Phase at Mountain Cambridge School is a vibrant place where energy, love, compassion and creativity are found!
Yours in education,
Anrieke Olivier
